This sucks! Thanks ANet/NCSoft/Play NC
I ordered Nightfall online and it was dispatched on Wednesday. I would have thought it should have got here today, but it didn't.
Oh well I thought, when Factions came out, I could use my pre-release character (that I created during the beta) to play for the weekend. They allowed us to play for around 5 days with the pre-release key until our copies of the game arrived in the post. I have a Paragon character I created during the Nightfall Beta and I have a pre-release key on my account but guess what?. . .they aren't allowing us to play with the pre-release key until the game arrives this time. This sucks, bigtime. Yeah, yeah, I could have gone to a store this morning and picked it up, but I didn't. I chose to pre-order it and got it about ??12/$21 cheaper than buying it in my local store. Seeing as I was buying 2 copies, one for each account, I thought I would make the saving. So what gives ANet? Why the difference with this game? Why can't we play with out pre-release key for the weekend like with Factions? I've bought 2 copies of each game, I think I deserve a break. |

I wouldnt be blaming Anet / NcSoft / PlayNC if you ordered from a store!!! The problem lies solely on the "stores" shoulders.
Barring that the parcel may still arrive yet, perhaps some patience. |

I appreciate your comments that the stores should be held partially to blame. Perhaps they are. But ANet or whoever the powers that be are know that some stores policies aren't to release games until the day they come out. When Factions came out, they seemed to take that into consideration and allowed us to use the pre-order key to play for a period of 5 days. After that if no key was added for the full game, your character was deleted. I really just can't understand why they haven't done that this time. I wanted to mail them at their site but couldn't seem to find an address. They say they read this forum so I thought I'd post my question here. I would still like to know why they didn't allow the use of the pre-order key for the first weekend. I mean, why the heck else have a pre-order package? I certainly didn't get it for the weapons or wallpapers. |

They only do free shipping. The items usually arrive within 2 days of dispatch but not this time. When Factions was released, they didn't ship until the actual day of the release but it didn't matter because I used the other key for the w/end. I thought I'd be okay again this time. I guess not |

I ordered from Gameplay.co.uk
Last time, I got the game on time, but for some reason, Royal Mail proved their incompetance at their job this time. I'm having to go to the nearest depot to collect it. I didn't pay the Special Delivery charge for that! I wanted it Yesterday! Would have been nice to play the game temporarily since I added a Pre-order code... |

It is not Anet / NcSoft / PlayNC fault if stores have problems with shipping but they should had assumed that these problems will happen because it is obvious that everyone won't get their game soon enough. Couple days access to Nightfall with pre-order would had solved all this pain. Factions release was fine. Didn't get the game in time but pre-order key was the saviour. Not anymore.
Anet / NcSoft / PlayNC could had done this smarter. Factions release was smart. That is my point. Not just a personal rant. |

Welcome to wonderful world of postage... Never rely on it.
As for wanting ot vent anger on ANet and co, why? They clearly stated that all pre-release characters would be deleted following the end of the preview weekend. And you didn't ever order from them! |

derrtyboy69, I know 2 days isn't the end of the world but when you have friends you wanted to play with and level up with who will now be well advanced, it does suck. The only time I seem to be able to hook with friends regularly is when the games first come out. |

its the stores and shipping policies. I ordred a copy from amazon and received it on Wed. the second copy I pre-ordered from EB games and the regular games were at the stores yesterday, but CE wasn't in until tonight. I would think its the stores not the Anet or NCsoft

The shop where I ordered my CE from seems to have ran out of them, as does the place where that shop gets their games. No idea when there'll be more CE's available again, so chances of me getting my copy by next week looks rather grim.
It's Factions CE situation all over again for me, but without the ability to play the new chapter while waiting. Shame that I care about the CE's, otherwise I would have bought the game from the Anet online shop. Ah well, that's enough whining from me. |
